Yes. It sure as heck is. Damn hot. There are bushfires, and crazy thunderstorms, and all sorts of shit going on. I'm a little worried about my place, there've been bushfires near there before, and everything's so dry . . .
And my main worry is my two little kitties. Yes! I got me two little kittens, very cute and cuddly, and they're going to be indoor cats of course. We're even becoming tentative friends with a local, very shy black cat that before wouldn't come within 10 metres of me, no matter how nice I was. Now he sits at the flyscreen door and has staring competitions with Oliver, who is also all black. It sounds kinda freaky, but . . . yes, it is kind of off.
Basil is a little tortoiseshell, and has been sick with bad cat flu. I was very worried for a couple of days there because he had so much trouble breathing. He's just so little, and very bony because he wouldn't eat or drink. But the very nice vet gave us some medicine, and yesterday he had a total turnaround - was even racing around playing with Ollie. I nearly cried with joy. Because they are just like little kids, they're so fragile, and you have to be so vigilant. So he's much better, and rolling around for tummy rubs non-stop.
Work has been extremely busy since being back from the end of year holidays (which, to be honest, I was just starting to get into the swing of). Which is why I haven't been able to do much here for a while. Also, my camera is dead. Stupid Kodak shite. Never again. It may be 7 years old, but by jingoes why couldn't that damn battery door be unbreakable!
Soon I will be getting my Canon 20D SLR and things will pick up. I'm going to make time to get back into my photography, I'm really missing it.
Want that one.
